Hank Klibanoff, professor of practice, Creative Writing Program, Emory College, with Garrett Turner, actor
For years, Hank Klibanoff’s Georgia Civil Rights Cold Cases Project and its Peabody Award-winning podcast, “Buried Truths,” have sought to unearth the untold stories of victims of racially motivated violence. This year, for the first time, Klibanoff partnered with actor and playwright Garrett Turner and his students to focus on the lives and times of known victims of the 1906 Atlanta race massacre and imagine the untold stories of those involved.
